Why Max Windsor?
During the past few years of economic downturn, Max Windsor recognized that innovation would be the key to its ongoing success. Hard times spur innovation, and this period saw many advances in the wood flooring industry. Noteworthy among these were the growth of consciousness among manufacturers, retailers and the general population in environmental matters. ”Save the Planet” became more than just a slogan; it established a new way of thinking about what we do personally and collectively to sustain and improve the quality of life.
Max Windsor Floors believes strongly that it is action, not just talk, which defines an organization. Specific recent instances of this were the discontinuance from our product offerings of exotic hardwoods sourced from the rain forests of South America. Some of these species are already endangered or soon will be. Tens of thousands of acres are disappearing from these tropical forests every year. We no longer want to be part of this problem. A second initiative was to discontinue all solid wood from the product line. This category uses more than three times the amount of fine hardwoods as do engineered floors. Given the mounting evidence that engineered floors perform far better than solids, this decision, while costly, was necessary.
Our growth as a Company has been based largely on three factors: (1) product appearance, (2) the ability to deliver the most dimensionally stable hardwood flooring available, and (3) the consistency of innovative products with features that lead the market. The family of Max Windsor Certified Dealers participates with us in researching the colors, textures, widths, finishes, and prices most homeowners and commercial market designers want. Working closely with them we have developed flooring collections with superior style, structure and performance.
We are rooted in the belief that hardwood flooring must satisfy numerous criteria for discerning consumers. We never lose sight of the fact that when you select a floor, you are making a substantial investment. That is why your satisfaction will always be our number one goal.
Thanks for considering Max Windsor. We’ll come through for you.
At Max Windsor we know what great quality is based on: Establishing extraordinary standards and maintaining them.
We set the bar high knowing that in the long run we are no better than the product we sell. We are unreasonable with ourselves, recognizing that terms such as “industry standards” and stock mantras like, “That’s the way everybody does it,” are inadequate for those who choose to lead the field in quality. We prefer our own standards and ways of doing things. For instance, our rate of claims due to substandard product is less than one-tenth of one percent, compared to an industry average of just over 2%. This is our proudest statistic.
There isn’t anything complex about sustaining a 99.9% norm for customer quality satisfaction. It begins and ends with honoring our commitments and means that we pay a little higher price for the best wood and other raw materials, and don’t rush the process of making great flooring.
